Ausubo
Manilkara bidentata, Mimusops balata
Medium sized, yellow skinned fruit, about two inches across, bearing many similarities to the sapodilla.

Description
Large, and very long lived tropical tree native to wet regions. Flowering and fruiting can occur year-round.
Hardiness
Unknown, probably to 32F.
Growing Environment
It is very adaptable to both full sun and shaded conditions. Water fairly regularly and protect from freezing temperatures.
Propagation
By seeds.
Uses
Fruits are edible and eaten fresh, the more common use of the tree is as a commercial timber.
Native Range
Native to the Caribbean, and from Mexico through Brazil.
