Acer rubrum - Red Maple

Very popular as a landscape and street tree, owing to its attractive, red colored foliage in the fall. The tree is highly adaptable and is found growing in many environments, from lower rainfall areas to swamps. It is sometime harvested for timber and can be tapped for syrup. Hardy to most zones.
