Seeds are dried, ground and used as a nutmeg substitute. Aroma is similar to nutmeg and can be used as a seasoning, in desserts, and for many standard nutmeg uses. Flowers are large, ornate, and resemble an orchid. Tropical tree growing up to 15-20 feet. Said to be hardy to 32F. Seeds are fresh, cannot be stored and should be planted on receipt. #2435
