Stauntonia hexaphylla - Sausage Vine

5 seeds per pack. A dioecious vine native to Southern Japan and parts of mainland Eastern Asia. The sausage-like fruits are a delicacy in parts of Japan and have a sweet, honey-like flavor. Vining growth to 20-30 ft / 6-10 m. It shows some frost tolerance and is hardy to around 15F / -10C. Features attractive pink-white flowers. Fruits ripen to purple-red, with clear pulp. Related to the Chocolate Vine (Akebia). Exotic and rare! #4358
