Theobroma cacao - Forastero Cacao Seeds

1 seed per pack. Please note: the seeds in this batch are beginning to germinate. Seeds are from yellow-red fruited Forastero Cacao. The cacao tree is the source of the famous and delicious cocoa bean. This small tropical tree rarely exceeds 10-15 feet in height and bears large fruits with edible white pulp that inside contain the cocoa beans. Trees need tropical conditions with high humidity and cannot survive temperatures below 50F for long periods of time. Please note that seeds are extremely short lived and do not store well.
