Pisum sativum
a.k.a. Earliest of Them All
A small to medium pod English pea, noteworthy for its extreme early ripening. Yields pods with up to 6-8 peas, having a mild and refreshing flavor. Other varieties have larger pods, but few to none ripen as quickly as Alaska. Popular for off season crops, fast-ripening and cooler temperatures.
