An edible coffee, this species is distinct from many of the more common types owing to its large leaves, fruits and large growth habit. The leaves in particular grow to 2-3 times the size of typical coffee plants. Beans are used just like regular coffee and in some cases form parts of commercial blends. Uncommon in cultivation.
