Large, nutty fruit having the flavor of an almond.

Description
Large tropical tree to 90ft, though sometimes much smaller. The tropical almond is well adapted to salt soils and winds and often grows along beaches and seashores throughout the tropics.
Hardiness
They are not particularly hardy, but can survive brief frosts.
Growing Environment
Trees like full sun and lots of water, though they are drought tolerant.
Propagation
By seeds.
Uses
The fruits are eaten and have a number of medicinal properties.
Native Range
Native to India, but now naturalized and is a fixture throughout most of the tropical world.
