Dialium guineense - Velvet Tamarind

2 seeds per pack. An African native fruit tree, bearing large clusters of fuzzy, dark purple-black fruits. Popular as a small scale commercial crop. Fruits have a tangy, somewhat candy like flavor, and are reminiscent of the tamarind. Native to drier parts of tropical west Africa. Medium to occasionally tall sized tree up to 90 ft / 30 m, but often much smaller. Unknown hardiness, but unlikely hardy to frosts. #4818
