Diospyros aequoris subsp. aequoris - Wild Mexican Persimmon

2 seeds per pack. A lesser known persimmon species, native to portions of Mexico, mainly northern and central Mexico, along with Baja California. It bears small, yellow ripening fruits that are said to be edible. Information on this species is scarce, but it is a low to medium growing, shrubby tree. The fruits seem to be popular with birds and local mammals. Unknown frost tolerance, but it may show mild tolerance to a few degrees below freezing. #4591
