1 seed per pack. Please note: some of the seeds in this batch are beginning to germinate. A highly sought after Eugenia, and one of the more difficult edible Eugenia's to find. Its bright, orange-red colored fruits are heavily ridged, and look a bit like a large, but strangely shaped pitanga. The flavor is said to be quite nice, with fruits eaten raw or used in desserts and flavorings. Native to Brazil, in the region south of Sao Paulo. Medium to tall tree that can grow to 30-90 ft / 30 m. Unknown frost tolerance, but given its native range, it may tolerate subtropical lows. Seeds are fresh, cannot be stored and should be planted on receipt. #5250
