Measuring several inches, the yellow to brown fruits contain fleshy, cream colored pulp that is considered a delicacy in its native range. Fruits are grown commercially on a small scale in Colombia, but the species is little known elsewhere. Medium sized, understory tree growing to 45 ft / 15 m. Needs tropical conditions.
