Cucurbita foetidissima - Buffalo Gourd

10 seeds per pack. A gourd native to the southwestern United States and parts of Northern Mexico. Fruits supposedly can be cooked and eaten when young, much like a squash. The ripe fruits, while bitter to eat, make excellent drying gourds and historically were used for decoration, rattles and musical instruments. Fast growing. Needs little water. Annual. #2186
