Eugenia cf involucrata - Bahia Cherry of the Rio Grande Seeds

Discovered in Bahia state, Brazil, this variety is similar to the standard Cherry of the Rio Grande but with large, red skinned fruit. The edible fruits have thin, non-astringent skin and exceptionally sweet flesh. A very fast grower, it is well-suited for tropical and subtropical environments, and may show some frost tolerance similar to Eugenia involucrata. Small to medium sized, bushy tree. #5616
