Garcinia humilis - Bolivian Mangosteen Seeds

1 seed per pack. a.k.a. Achacha. A relative of the mangosteen, having medium sized, egg-shaped, orange fruits with a tasty sweet and sour flavor that has been described like lemonade. Small tree, can fruit heavily. Unknown hardiness, possibly similar to the gamboge. This fruit is still very rare but there is some recent interest in small commercial growing in Australia. There is some confusion between a number of similar Garcinia species. These seeds are from orange skinned fruits. Seeds are fresh, cannot be stored and should be planted on receipt. #3529
