4 seeds per pack. A really interesting and rare papaya relative from the Peruvian Andes mountains. It bears triangular, lobed fruits that ripen to orange-red and are said to be quite tasty when eaten fresh. They are also used to make a liqueur known as Cacique. Grows in mountain environments naturally up to 3000 m / 10,000 ft so there is good potential for light frost tolerance. Virtually unknown in cultivation outside South America. #4323
