Seeds are from a shrubby, edible fruit bearing bush, found in Brazil. May be Myrcia guianensis (related to Plinia sp.), or closely related---the leaves are a bit different than guianensis. Fruits are small, black-purple, and edible, with a rich, sweet flavor. Shrubby growth to 2 m / 6 ft. Unknown frost hardiness. Seeds are fresh, cannot be stored and should be planted on receipt. #5473
