Musa monticola - Kinabalu Mountain Banana

4 seeds per pack. An extremely rare banana, native to a small region above 3000 ft in the mountains of northern Sabah, Borneo. It is of short stature, usually only growing to 3- 6 ft tall (1-2 m). It yields pineapple sized clusters of small banana-fruits, edible and very sweet, but seedy. Would make for a wonderful and rare ornamental. Unknown frost tolerance, but likely would do well in cooler, subtropical regions. #4661
