Description
A small tree growing to 6-10ft.
Hardiness
Hardy to 27-29F.
Growing Environment
Grows best in full or filtered sun. Is mildly frost hardy and does best in well-drained soils.
Propagation
By seeds, which are extremely slow to germinate, averaging 3-18 months germination time. Can fruit in 4-5 years from seed.
Uses
Extremely uncommon, fruits are edible, but the tree is largely unknown.
Native Range
Native to Amazonia, Brazil.
