Description

Small subtropical bush, usually only to 4-6ft, but can grow to 10ft. Often takes on a spreading growth habit to several feet. Blooms pretty much the whole year, yellow flowers are followed by brown pod fruit. Flowers attract butterflies.

Hardiness

Hardy to the 20's (F).

Growing Environment

The Candle Bush is a fairly hardy plant (in hospitable environments). Will take drought. Grows well in full sun. Not picky about soil type.

By seeds.

Uses

Grown as an ornamental for its pretty yellow flowers. Plant was traditionally used for a variety of medicinal purposes.
