A short, edible palm with 1-1 1/2" fruits. The fruits are mildly sweet, with a pleasant flavor, though the palm is quite rare and is mainly prized as an ornamental.

A short palm tree growing to 3-6 feet tall.
Hardiness
Probably to 32F and not much lower.
Growing Environment
Grows well in both tropical and subtropical climates. Needs regular watering during warm seasons.

Uses
Sought after as an ornamental. The plant is compact and easy to grow in small spaces and large containers. It is quite rare outside of its native range. The fruits are also edible.
